They became lovers and when he returned to Poland in the mid 50's she went with him. After his death in 1962 she returned to England and had a one woman show at the Drian Galleries in London. In her introduction to the exhibition Halima Nalecz says \" her instinct as a painter leads to an almost childish honesty of expression.
