After her scholastic period she travelled widely in France, Italy and Spain.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eIt was while attending Corsham, she came under the teaching influence of Peter Potworowski, one of the great Polish abstract painters of the 20t C. They became lovers and when he returned to Poland in the mid 50's she went with him. After his death in 1962 she returned to England and had a one woman show at the Drian Galleries in London. In her introduction to the exhibition Halima Nalecz says \" her instinct as a painter leads to an almost childish honesty of expression.
