Handmade Nineteen Candle No 11 Camp Wildwood

Handmade Nineteen Candle No 11 Camp Wildwood

Nineteen candles are entirely hand made using non-GMO soy wax.  Natural essential oils are used for each candle and along with cotton wicks and crackled glaze vintage style stoneware containers.

The charming cardboard packaging is a recycled material and the labels are hand printed using a vintage letterpress machine.

Memories of campfires and good times are conjured at the mention of Camp Wildwood, a long-closed retreat in the woods deep in the canyon, down by the creek. That unmistakable wood fire fragrance is captured in this tree sap-based formula.

Chandler’s note: This formula was a tough one – 2 years of experimentation to get the just the right campfire fragrance (without being too smoky). Enjoy!

This candle can be best described as smoky and woody.

About nineteen candles:

Certain scents can evoke a memory, a place, or an emotion. I’ve developed 11 unique natural candles, inspired by my experiences in Topanga Canyon, California.

Our candles are entirely made by hand in our studio, using non-GMO soy wax, natural essential oils, cotton wicks, and our own vintage stoneware containers. Our cardboard packaging is recycled material, and all of our labels are printed locally on vintage letterpress machines.

In case you were wondering, the 19 Candles company name didn’t come from some ill-conceived sequel to a famous 80’s motion picture. 19 Candles was an ancient Celtic ritual – a part of the Imbolic: A festival marking the beginning of spring. The role of candles in our lives is different today, but for some (like me), they have a primal nature, and the name 19 Candles is a celebration of that primal nature.
