Our beautiful authentic original American vintage framed tin tiles are backed with timber and can be hung straight on the wall.

These tiles were used to line the ceilings and walls of public spaces and municipal halls in the United States from the 1920’s to the 1940’s. They were designed to emulate elaborate plasterwork and are sometimes referred to as ‘poor man’s plaster’.

Each square tile has been cut by hand from a larger repeat tile.  Carefully mounted onto a timber frame each amazing piece is ready to hang in your home.  A unique artwork of historic and decorative interest.

Rusty and imperfect – please expect some flaking paintwork and uneven, less than perfect edges. Each tile is unique and they are all old so will have bumps imperfections from the passage of time.

Mounted on a wooden backing frame and ready to hang.
