Vintage Galvanised Wirework Apple Basket

A wonderful home accessory these large wire baskets have a wonderfully lived-in look.  They would have been used as a basket for collecting fruit, allowing the farmer to gather and wash the fruit in one vessel.  Each basket has a two carrying handles.

We believe that these handmade baskets date from 1920 – 1940.  Please expect rustic condition when ordering this antique item.
