Each antique letterpress block used within the frame is 100 to 120 years old.  The frame has been crafted from the original tray in which the compositor stored the individual wooden fonts for printing.  A very special gift for a graphic designer or artist or anyone interested in typographic history.  Each antique letterpress wooden printing blocks artwork is totally unique from the next.   A mixture of fonts, letters and numbers are used within each frame. Each letter and number is in reverse adding to the appeal of this type of unique artwork. Each unique artwork is a little piece of typographic history.

The letters are carefully selected to fill the frame and then glued down.  Each letter is polished and worn with use over time.  Each block has a beautiful patina and often traces of colour are found on the letter and background.
