Sizeable Arch Within Square Antique Architectural Salvage Window Mirror
An exceptionally large and imposing mirror. Featuring 8 rectangular panes with a four slightly arched panes to the top, these solid timber widows have been salvaged from an industrial warehouse in the north of England and repurposed into a unique window mirror.
The timber is beautifully patinated and thankfully untouched and unrestored. The original timber is overlaid with a hint of grey and white paintwork. The feature of this mirror is it’s a very unusual configuration of the arch within square framework.
This unique piece of architectural salvage is totally authentic and original. Dating from the mid 1900’s. Window mirrors serve to add light to a room and give the illusion of an extra external window to your room, creating the impression of extra space within your home.
Window mirrors look fabulous in bathroom, hallways and over mantle pieces. They are suitable for industrial, rustic country or contemporary interiors. Shown here they look particularly fabulous if you bring in another architectural accent into the foreground such as our ship’s pulley artwork found in the home accessories section of the website.
These type of mirrors are frequently used outdoors on covered patio areas to create the illusion of a ‘view’ across the garden.
Window mirror reflecting a beautiful view can create the impression of a painting upon the wall.
