XL Antique Rustic Wooden Mortar
Our stunning Antique rustic wooden mortars are made from a single piece of elm tree trunk.
Formerly this unique and very heavy item would have been used with a large wooden pestle to grind and mill grain within it's hollow bowl shaped centre.
The patina of the wood is particularly beautiful and worn smooth with the passage of time ... this item is over 100 years old.
The character of this timber is beautiful and its surfaces are tactile and full of rustic character cracks and makers marks. Woodworm holes are present in all our historic items, all item are fully treated.
Each of our primitive looking mortars looks absolutely fantastic empty as a stand alone item but could equally be used to make a strikingly minimal floral arrangement.
Made from solid elm.

Courier Delivery
Delivery will take place via door-to-door courier as this item is too large and heavy, long or fragile to be delivered in a parcel by any of the UK parcel providers.
This service is undertaken by a one man delivery service.
Please be prepared to help to move the item from the van or lorry to just inside your door. When delivery takes place it will be to just inside the threshold of your home only.
Tables are flat packed for self assembly.
The courier will not be able to carry the furniture up or down steps to access your property.
You will need to supply a strong helper to assist on the day of delivery as this item is too heavy to be lifted by one person alone.
After the courier has left you will need to remove the item from its packaging when present and carry it from your doorway into your home or garden.
Delivery is added at the checkout - you will be able to view this charge before you pay.
Please note - our Marlow showroom can not contain our full inventory and therefore some items are not displayed in-store.

Most mainland UK furniture deliveries are completed within 7–14 working days of placing your order.
Once your order has been received, we'll confirm everything by email before our delivery partner contacts you directly to arrange a convenient delivery date.
Our specialist furniture delivery service is carried out by a dedicated one-person furniture courier.
To help ensure a smooth delivery, we kindly ask that a capable adult is available to assist the driver with larger furniture items where required. Delivery is made to the ground-floor entrance of your property.
Many of our customers find this service quick, efficient and an excellent value option for larger furniture deliveries.
PREMIUM TWO-PERSON DELIVERY / ASSEMBLY
For complete peace of mind, we also offer a premium two-person delivery / assembly service on many of our larger furniture pieces.
Our experienced team will carefully deliver your furniture, position it in the room of your choice and professionally assemble it where applicable, leaving you free to simply enjoy your new purchase.
Two-Person Delivery / Assembly – £80 extra per delivery

SELF-ASSEMBLY
Some furniture, including selected dining tables, is supplied flat-packed to ensure safe transportation. Where self-assembly is required, comprehensive instructions and all necessary fittings are included, making assembly straightforward.
DELIVERY CHARGES
Delivery charges are automatically calculated at checkout, allowing you to review the cost before confirming your order.
SCOTLAND & OFFSHORE LOCATIONS
We're delighted to deliver throughout most of mainland UK.
For deliveries to the Scottish Highlands, Scottish Islands, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and other offshore UK islands, please contact us before placing your order. We'll be pleased to provide a personalised delivery quotation based on your location and the items you've chosen.

COLLECTING YOUR ORDER
You're very welcome to collect eligible purchases from our Marlow, Buckinghamshire showroom during our normal opening hours.
As some items are stored at separate warehouse locations, we recommend contacting us before travelling so we can ensure your order is prepared and ready for collection.
