Large antique Mediterranean urn Aurora
This fabulous Large antique Mediterranean urn Aurora is full of aged character.
This urn features ample texture and intrigue, Its really is one of a kind.
This urn would look beautiful and sculptural on its own and also with plants within.
Over a hundred years old, the surface of urns such as this one can be textured, pitted and flaky with loose paintwork. Traces of white residue sometimes remain where they have been previously painted. Originally used to store liquids, traces of olive oil are often evident inside the pots.
In the garden, they must be protected from static freezing water/soil if planted. In the wintertime, if you leave them outdoors, simply turn upside down so that they cannot fill with water which will freeze (if you make a drainage hole to the bottom there is no need to do this).
If you establish a plant inside these pots simply use a plastic pot within which will allow for expansion and contraction of frozen soil and water. If you do fill the pot with soil we would recommend that you do not allow the pot and contents to freeze over winter. We recommend protecting from frost during the winter months if used in the garden.
Please expect a vintage imperfect condition. Each pot is handmade and features fabulous rustic earthy tones. Delightfully imperfect, these pots are soft, smooth and tactile to the touch. These distinctive ancient pots have imperfections aplenty, so please embrace their individuality and beauty and expect historic chips, cracks and repairs.

Parcel Delivery
We use Parcelforce to deliver our smaller items.
Courier Delivery – Furniture | bulky items | fragile items | heavy items
Delivery will take place via door-to-door courier an item is too large and heavy, long or fragile to be delivered in a parcel by any of the UK parcel providers.
This service is undertaken by a one-man delivery service.
Please be prepared to help to move the item from the van or lorry to just inside your door. When delivery takes place, it will be to just inside the threshold of your home only.
The courier will not be able to carry the furniture up or down steps to access your property.
You will need to supply a strong helper to assist on the day of delivery.
After the courier has left, you will need to remove the item from its packaging when present and carry it from your doorway into your home or garden.
Some items such as our dining tables flat packed for self-assembly. Many items of furniture require an element of self-assembly.
Delivery is added at the checkout - you will be able to view this charge before you pay.

Special quotation for deliveries is required for the following areas: Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands, and Islands as well as all other offshore UK islands.

All our stock is listed online and available for nationwide delivery.
We welcome collection of your orders from our shop in Marlow Buckinghamshire, however, please note that we do not allow customer or their couriers to collect bulky items, heavy items or furniture items from Home Barn.
Not all of our beautiful stock is available in store, so please contact us before travelling to collect an item.
Collection of orders must be undertaken during standard opening hours.
