Full of history and character, our French Antique Deconstructed Armchairs are beautiful examples of traditional French craftsmanship, dating from the late 19th to early 20th century.
Each antique armchair has been carefully stripped back to reveal the beauty of its original construction, creating the wonderfully relaxed, deconstructed look so loved in modern rustic interiors. Exposed timber frames, traditional upholstery stitching, aged hessian, calico and original horsehair padding celebrate the craftsmanship and history of these remarkable pieces.
With their elegant curved silhouettes, beautifully shaped arms and timeworn patina, these characterful French occasional chairs bring warmth, texture and a sense of understated luxury to any interior.
Perfect beside a fireplace, in a bedroom, dressing room or sitting room, they sit effortlessly alongside both antique and contemporary furniture. Style with a soft sheepskin or linen cushion for a beautifully layered, collected-over-time look.
Each chair is an individual antique, with its own distinctive shape, upholstery details and natural signs of age. Some designs feature striped seat cushions, while others reveal more of their original upholstery, adding to their unique appeal.
