Most mainland UK furniture deliveries are completed within 7–14 working days of placing your order.

Once your order has been received, we'll confirm everything by email before our delivery partner contacts you directly to arrange a convenient delivery date.

Our specialist furniture delivery service is carried out by a dedicated one-person furniture courier.

To help ensure a smooth delivery, we kindly ask that a capable adult is available to assist the driver with larger furniture items where required. Delivery is made to the ground-floor entrance of your property.

Many of our customers find this service quick, efficient and an excellent value option for larger furniture deliveries.

PREMIUM TWO-PERSON DELIVERY / ASSEMBLY

For complete peace of mind, we also offer a premium two-person delivery / assembly service on many of our larger furniture pieces.

Our experienced team will carefully deliver your furniture, position it in the room of your choice and professionally assemble it where applicable, leaving you free to simply enjoy your new purchase.

SELF-ASSEMBLY

Some furniture, including selected dining tables, is supplied flat-packed to ensure safe transportation. Where self-assembly is required, comprehensive instructions and all necessary fittings are included, making assembly straightforward.

Antique French Folding Garden Chairs | Pair | Veronique

Full of beautifully timeworn character, Veronique is a pair of antique French folding garden chairs dating to the early 20th century, approximately circa 1900–1930.

Crafted from iron, each chair features an elegant scrolling back, slender folding frame and an unusual articulated seat formed from linked metal strips. Originally designed to be easily folded and stored, chairs of this style would traditionally have been used on French terraces, in gardens, cafés and orangeries.

What makes Veronique especially appealing is the extraordinary original surface. Layers of historic paint have naturally worn, cracked and flaked over many decades, revealing muted cream, grey and traces of green alongside areas of gently oxidised iron. This richly aged patina gives the pair an authenticity and decorative quality that simply cannot be recreated.

Their delicate proportions and sculptural silhouettes make them wonderful decorative garden chairs, whether positioned on a terrace, beside a garden table, in a conservatory or simply used to introduce a little French character to an interior.

This is an imperfect antique item with distressed and flaking paintwork, these chairs could be fully restored or enjoyed as they are in their gloriously imperfect state.  One link in the foldiing section of the chair is broken as seen in the final image. This does not affect the strenth of the chair.

These are genuine antique chairs and their considerable age is very much part of their charm. Extensive areas of peeling and flaking paint, surface rust, oxidisation, marks, wear and irregularities should be expected and celebrated as part of their history.

As antique folding chairs, we recommend treating Veronique primarily as decorative or occasional seating rather than everyday dining chairs.
